Thunder Bay Waterfront Yarnbomb

We have been invited to Yarn Bomb the fence beside the skating rink at the waterfront park for SNOWDAY (Feb 19) as a kick off for this year’s Fibre Arts Exhibition. We are hoping people will participate by creating knit or crochet pieces that we can assemble into a giant wrap for the fence.

We had our first drop in Maker Session today and it was a great success and alot of fun. Thank you to everyone who came out! We had a big crowd coming and going throughout the afternoon making squares and hexagons plus pompoms!! We have a great start on the project!

Next Maker Session will be on Saturday, January 27 at Olives and Bananas Fibre Arts on Cumberland Street. Drop in anytime between 11am to 4pn.

If you'd like to participate, you can make your pieces  and drop them off to Amy at Olives and Bananas Fibre Arts on Cumberland Street or to Angie at the Baggage Building Arts Centre at the waterfront.

Here's a great YouTube video with crochet Hexagon step by step demo:

If you have questions please ask me or you can contact Angie at the BBAC.

Camp Happy Heart's Kirby goes to Vogue Knitting Live in NYC!

Look what happened today!

I am having a total fangirl moment. One of my monsters, Kirby, met the fabulous Stephen West at VKLive in New York City today! (For those of you who don't know who Stephen West is... he is a freakin super knitwear designer who is kinda like the Elton John Rockstar of the knitting world and VKLive in NYC is like knitters' Fashion Week.) ❤

I love it when people post pics of the fun they have with my creations!! I wish I was there too!! This post totally made my whole weekend!!!

First project of 2018

First project of 2018 is a teeny tiny unicorn loving rollerskating monster. I hope to have the pattern for the regular sized version out by March!
